સર્વસામાન્ય દ્રષ્ટિકોણમાં પણ અપવાદ હોય જ!
વરિષ્ઠ ચર્ચાપત્રી દ્વારા ૨૯ સપ્ટે.ના અંકમાં મધ્યમવર્ગની વ્યાખ્યા અંગે થોડા સવાલો થયેલ. આ લખનારે તમામ આંકડાઓ જે રજૂ કરેલ હતા તે ભારત સરકાર કે પ્રતિષ્ઠિત મીડિયા દ્વારા અધિકૃત સર્વે બાદ પ્રસિદ્ધ થયેલ આંકડા છે. તદુપરાંત, જે વાત કરી એ સર્વસામાન્ય દ્રષ્ટિકોણથી જ કરેલ છે. કોઈ પણ પરિસ્થિતિ આદર્શ નથી હોતી એ સૌ જાણે છે. તેથી બેશક્ એ સૌને લાગુ નહીં જ પડે. પણ એથી બાકીના ૯૫-૯૭% માટે હકીકત બદલાઈ જતી નથી. તેથી નમ્રતાપૂર્વક જણાવવાનું કે તેમણે કરેલ રજૂઆત ફક્ત અપવાદ કિસ્સાઓની જણાઈ આવે છે. આ યુવક, એ આંકડાઓ સાથે હજી કાયમ છે અને એ માટે વધુ સંદર્ભ. આયકર વિભાગના રેશિયો અને ચેન્નાઈ સ્થિત જાણીતા સર્ટિફાઇડ આર્થિક સલાહકાર ડી. મુથુકૃષ્ણનની વાત માનીએ તો ભારતના ફક્ત ૩.૧ (૨.૪૮ %) કરોડ લોકો જ ૬.૫ (સાડા છ) લાખથી વધુ કમાય છે. આમ જો તમામ અપવાદને કે ભાવનાત્મક તકલીફોને ગણતરીમાં લઈએ તો બધા જ મધ્યમવર્ગના થઈ જાય. એને "ખરેખરો મધ્યમ વર્ગ" પ્રમાણિત કરી શકાય?? ઉચ્ચ વર્ગ તો ઠીક કોઈ નિમ્ન ઉચ્ચવર્ગના પણ નહીં રહે. ૨.૯ કરોડ લોકો અંદાજે ૨.૧ લાખ કમાય છે તો બાકી રહેતો કામ કરનારો વર્ગ જે લગભગ ૪૬ કરોડ છે એ ૧ લાખથી નીચે કમાય છે (તમામ આંકડા વાર્ષિક વ્યક્તિગત સરેરાશ છે). વિદેશ એક વાર જાઓ કે વધુ વખત, લોન લઈને જઈએ કે પોતાને પૈસે, એ નોંધવું રહ્યું કે પેલો બાકીનો ૯૮.૫% તો એકેય વાર જવા સક્ષમ જ નથી. માંદગી અને અદાલતના ધક્કાઓમાં થતા પૈસાના ધુમાડાની કલ્પના તો ઠીક આ કલમબાજ તો પોતે જ એનો શિકાર અને સાક્ષી છે. બાકી અપવાદરૂપ ગણીએ કે નસીબજોગ, માંદગીએ તો આદેશ શ્રીવાસ્તવથી લઈ માઈકલ શુમાકરને પણ ગરીબ બનાવી દીધા છે. નાના મોઢે કદાચ મોટી વાત થાય તો ક્ષમા પણ આ મધ્યમ વર્ગની ચર્ચામાં સુપર સ્પેશિયાલિસ્ટ તબીબ કોને પૈસે વિદેશ જાય છે એ ચર્ચા અસ્થાને છે. એ માટે અલગ ચર્ચા આવકાર્ય છે. અંતમાં, જીન્દગીનો વિદ્યાર્થી છું ને હમેશાં એક શિખાઉ છું અને તેથી આપના વિચારોનો હું આદર કરું છું, આ યુવકનાં ચર્ચાપત્રનું એનાલિસિસ કરી આપે જે વિચાર પ્રસ્તુતિ કરી એ માટે ધન્યવાદ!

A few questions about the definition of the middle class were addressed to me in the September, 29th edition by senior newsletters writer in context to my earlier article dated September, 10th. All the figures that I have presented in 10th Sept article are figures released after an official survey by the Government of India or reputed media. Moreover, what we talked about was from a general point of view. Everyone knows that no situation is ideal. So of course this may not apply to everyone. But that doesn't change the fact for the remaining 95-97%. So humbly stating that his presentation appears to be the exceptions only. This young man still stands with those numbers and here are more references to him. According to the ratio of income tax department and Chennai based renowned certified financial adviser D. Muthukrishnan, only 3.1 Cr people in India earn more than 6.5 lakhs. Thus if we take into account all the exceptions or emotional distresses, then all will become middle class. Can it be certified "real middle class"? There won't be even any Lower Higher Class, leave the rich/higher class behind. Further, 2.9 Cr people earn around 2.1 lakhs, while the remaining working class, which is about 46 Cr, earns below 1 lakh (all figures are annual average). Whether you go abroad once or more, take out a loan for it or by your own money, it is important to note that the remaining 98.5% is not able to go even once. When you asked me to imagine situation of waste of money towards sickness and unexpected court cases for common man, forget about imagination as this scribbler himself is a victim and witness to it respectively. Whether to consider exception or ill fortune, prolonged illness has made Late Adesh Srivastava to Michael Schumacher even poorer. Forgive me to counter as I'm too young in front of you but in the debate of middle class it is completely improper and ridiculous to quote about 'on whose money the super specialist doctors go to abroad to attend conferences?' A separate discussion is welcome for that. In the end, I am a life student and always a learner and therefore I respect your views, thank you for analyzing this young man's article!
